You’ve got a great idea for a glossy magazine, but you don’t have the money to put it into action. Fortunately, there is an alternative. Start an e-zine. They are easier to create than you might think and are a good project for kids with great ideas.

Are you interested in computers and technology? How about outdoors sports? Any topic can make a great e-zine. Choose something that interests you, follow these simple steps, and you’ll soon be publishing.

E-zines for Kids
E-zines are great ways to share your ideas. They let you reach people that have the same hobbies, goals, and interests.

Here are a few e-zines that are good examples of what you can do:

  • MidLink Magazine
  • FreeZone
  • Fundango
  • Too Cool for Grownups

Getting Started
There are a couple things to keep in mind when creating an e-zine:

  • Who is your target audience?
  • Who will the e-zine be created for? Make sure you have a good idea of who will read your material. It will help you focus on the content.
  • Will it be an email list or a Web site?
  • You can create a list of people who would like to receive your e-zine through e-mail and then send it out periodically. Or you can create a Web site that people can visit whenever they want.

Soon you’ll be on your way to becoming an e-zine publishing guru. Have fun!
