Pros:
- Two pull-on loops
- Stealth Dotty allows for traction while bouldering
- Comfortable for walking too
Cons:
- This is mainly for bouldering—you’ll buy a second pair for climbing
The Bottom Line: If you want to focus on bouldering, this is a good shoe. The extra padding in the heel makes for a softer landing when jumping off. But if you are in need of an all-around rock climbing shoe, pass on this one. The Hueco is a durable climbing shoe. The traction will help you keep a good grip and the cushioned heel provides padding. When I tried it, I liked how it fit–comfortably snug, not too tight. This bouldering shoe can be worn while walking, as well as climbing, which is a nice change from a traditional climbing shoe that fits much tighter–like a ballet slipper. I particularly liked the asymmetrical construction–great way to get a good fit.
